SambaConnect provides a secure mechanism for buyers to authorize payments, and for merchants to accept payments, for both Business-to-Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) online purchases. Here's how it works:

The buyer browses through a merchant’s website.

The buyer looks for the item or service he/she wants to buy and loads it into the shopping cart.

Upon payment, the buyer clicks on the button that says "Pay through SambaConnect."

If the buyer is a registered SambaConnect user, he/she will be prompted to enter a User ID and Password.

If the buyer is not a registered SambaConnect user, he/she can still pay through SambaConnect using his/her credit card. The buyer will then be prompted to enter his/her card number, expiry date and CVV number.

After signing in, registered SambaConnect users can simply choose the preferred mode of payment and authorize payment.

When the transaction is completed, the buyer receives a confirmation message from SambaConnect. The buyer acknowledges the message and then he/she is redirected back to the merchant's website.

The merchant receives a separate message confirming that the buyer has authorized the payment. B2B transactions involve the same steps. However, corporate payments use the maker-checker function. A corporate buyer first initiates a payment (the maker), then a verifier authorizes it in order to complete the transaction (the checker).
